Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 sleeve (about 40) saltine crackers
  • 1/2 cup olive oil or melted butter
  • 1 tbsp red chili flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional, for extra heat)
  • 1 tsp ranch seasoning mix (optional, for extra flavor)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat to 250°F (120°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Mix Seasoning: In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, chili flakes, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cayenne (if using), ranch seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Coat Crackers: Place crackers in a large bowl or ziplock bag. Pour the seasoned oil over the crackers and gently toss or shake until evenly coated.
  4. Bake: Arrange the crackers in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 15–20 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  5. Cool & Serve: Let cool before serving. Store in an airtight container for up to a week.

Notes

  • Swap saltines for Ritz crackers or oyster crackers for variety.
  • Let the crackers sit overnight in a sealed bag for a no-bake version.
  • Serve with cream cheese or ranch dip to balance the heat.
