Ingredients

Units Scale

For the Pretzel Crust

  • 2 cups crushed pretzels
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 3 tablespoons sugar

For the Creamy Filling

  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup whipped topping (or homemade whipped cream)

For the Strawberry Jello Topping

  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 1 (6 oz) package strawberry Jello
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries (sliced)

For Garnish

  • Whipped cream
  • Whole strawberries

Instructions

1. Make the Pretzel Crust

  • Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F).
  • In a bowl, mix crushed pretzels, melted butter, and sugar until combined.
  • Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • Bake for 8–10 minutes, then let cool completely.

2. Prepare the Creamy Filling

  • In a bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  • Gently fold in the whipped topping.
  • Spread the mixture evenly over the cooled pretzel crust, making sure to seal the edges to prevent Jello from seeping through.
  • Chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.

3. Make the Strawberry Jello Topping

  • In a large bowl, dissolve strawberry Jello in boiling water. Let cool for 10–15 minutes until slightly thickened.
  • Stir in sliced strawberries.
  • Carefully pour the Jello mixture over the cream cheese layer.
  • Refrigerate for 4 hours or until fully set.

4. Serve & Garnish

  • Slice into squares and top with whipped cream and fresh strawberries.

Notes

  • Make It No-Bake: Skip baking the crust and refrigerate it instead.
  • Keto Version: Use a crushed almond flour & butter crust and sugar-free Jello.
  • Raspberry Twist: Swap strawberries for raspberries and raspberry Jello.
  • Make Ahead: Best made a day in advance for perfect layers.
