For the Pretzel Crust
- 2 cups crushed pretzels
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 3 tablespoons sugar
For the Creamy Filling
- 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup whipped topping (or homemade whipped cream)
For the Strawberry Jello Topping
- 2 cups boiling water
- 1 (6 oz) package strawberry Jello
- 2 cups fresh strawberries (sliced)
For Garnish
- Whipped cream
- Whole strawberries
Instructions
1. Make the Pretzel Crust
- Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F).
- In a bowl, mix crushed pretzels, melted butter, and sugar until combined.
- Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Bake for 8–10 minutes, then let cool completely.
2. Prepare the Creamy Filling
- In a bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
- Gently fold in the whipped topping.
- Spread the mixture evenly over the cooled pretzel crust, making sure to seal the edges to prevent Jello from seeping through.
- Chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
3. Make the Strawberry Jello Topping
- In a large bowl, dissolve strawberry Jello in boiling water. Let cool for 10–15 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Stir in sliced strawberries.
- Carefully pour the Jello mixture over the cream cheese layer.
- Refrigerate for 4 hours or until fully set.
4. Serve & Garnish
- Slice into squares and top with whipped cream and fresh strawberries.
