Ingredients
Scale
- Produce:
- 12 fresh strawberries (washed and dried thoroughly)
- Baking & Spices:
- 1 cup white chocolate chips or melts
- 1–2 tsp matcha powder (adjust to taste)
- Nuts:
- 1/4 cup crushed pistachios (optional topping)
Instructions
- Prepare the strawberries:
- Wash and pat the strawberries completely dry with a paper towel to ensure the chocolate sticks.
- Melt the chocolate:
- Place the white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 15–20 second intervals, stirring each time, until smooth and fully melted.
- Add the matcha:
- Sift 1–2 tsp of matcha powder into the melted chocolate. Stir until evenly combined and the chocolate turns a vibrant green.
- Dip the strawberries:
- Hold a strawberry by its stem and dip it into the matcha chocolate, twisting slightly to coat evenly. Let any excess chocolate drip off.
- Add toppings:
- While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle the dipped strawberries with crushed pistachios for a nutty finish.
- Set the strawberries:
- Place the dipped strawberries on a parchment-lined tray. Let them sit at room temperature or in the refrigerator until the chocolate hardens.
- Serve:
- Arrange on a festive platter and enjoy immediately!
Notes
- Use high-quality matcha powder for the best flavor and color.
- Store the strawberries in the fridge, but consume within 1–2 days for maximum freshness.
- Pistachios can be swapped for shredded coconut or festive sprinkles for variety.
