Description

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with these Matcha Chocolate Covered Strawberries! Juicy strawberries are dipped in creamy matcha-infused white chocolate and topped with crunchy pistachio crumble. A vibrant and elegant green treat perfect for parties or snacking.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Produce:
    • 1 lb fresh strawberries (washed and dried)
  • Chocolate Coating:
    • 1 1/2 cups white chocolate chips or melting wafers
    • 2 tsp matcha green tea powder
  • Topping:
    • 1/4 cup pistachios (finely chopped or crushed)

Instructions

Prepare the Strawberries

  1. Wash and Dry: Rinse strawberries under cold water and gently pat them dry with a paper towel. Ensure they are completely dry before dipping to prevent the chocolate from seizing.

Melt the Chocolate

  1. Melt White Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, heat white chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth and fully melted (about 1–2 minutes).
  2. Add Matcha: Sift the matcha powder into the melted chocolate and stir until fully combined, creating a smooth, vibrant green coating.

Dip the Strawberries

  1. Coat Strawberries: Hold each strawberry by the stem and dip it into the matcha chocolate, rotating to coat evenly. Let any excess chocolate drip off.
  2. Add Pistachio Crumble: While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle the crushed pistachios over the coated strawberries. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

Set the Coating

  1. Chill: Refrigerate the dipped strawberries for about 15–20 minutes, or until the chocolate has hardened.

Notes

  • Matcha Quality: Use culinary-grade matcha for a vibrant color and balanced flavor.
  • Storage: Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Serve chilled.
  • Custom Toppings: Add shredded coconut, crushed almonds, or even gold sugar for extra flair!
