Scale
Meat:
- 1 lb ground beef (or diced beef, if preferred)
Produce:
- 1 lb fresh green beans (trimmed)
- 1 lb baby potatoes (halved)
- 1 small onion (diced)
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
Dairy:
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
Condiments:
- 2 tbsp ranch seasoning mix
Baking & Spices:
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp salt
Oils:
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Liquids:
- 1/4 cup water
Instructions
- Prepare the Potatoes and Green Beans:
- Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add the baby potatoes and cook for 8–10 minutes, or until just tender. Remove with a slotted spoon.
- Add the green beans to the same boiling water and cook for 3–4 minutes until tender-crisp. Drain and set aside.
- Cook the Beef:
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it into crumbles as it cooks. Remove the beef and set aside, leaving any rendered fat in the skillet.
- Sauté the Aromatics:
- In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the diced onion and garlic, cooking until fragrant and softened, about 3–4 minutes.
- Combine the Ingredients:
- Return the beef to the skillet, along with the cooked potatoes and green beans. Stir to combine.
- Sprinkle the ranch seasoning mix, paprika, salt, and pepper over the mixture. Add 1/4 cup water and stir well to coat everything in the flavorful sauce.
- Simmer and Serve:
- Reduce the heat to low, cover the skillet, and let everything cook for an additional 5–7 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
- Serve hot as a complete meal or a hearty side dish.
Notes
- For extra flavor, garnish with freshly chopped parsley or grated Parmesan cheese.
- Use turkey or chicken instead of beef for a lighter option.
