Description

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) dry yeast
  • 3/4 cup warm water (110°F/45°C)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  • Activate the Yeast: In a small bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
  • Mix the Dough: In a large bowl, whisk together flour and salt. Add yeast mixture and olive oil. Stir until combined.
  • Knead the Dough: Transfer to a floured surface and knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  • Let It Rise: Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a kitchen towel, and let rise for 60–90 minutes, or until doubled in size.
  • Shape & Bake: Roll out the dough to your desired thickness. Add toppings and bake at 475°F (245°C) for 12–15 minutes until golden and crisp.

Notes

  • For a crispier crust, pre-bake the dough for 5 minutes before adding toppings.
