Oils & Vinegars:
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
Dairy:
- 2/3 cup whole milk
- 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 2 tbsp salted butter
Instructions
Make the Brownie Base:
- Prepare the Batter:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine the brownie mix, chocolate pudding mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and milk. Mix until well blended.
- Add Strawberries:
- Gently fold the diced strawberries into the batter, ensuring even distribution.
- Bake:
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish. Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Let the brownies cool completely in the pan.
Prepare the Ganache:
- Heat the Cream:
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, bring the heavy whipping cream to a simmer (do not boil).
- Melt the Chocolate:
- Place the semi-sweet baking chocolate and butter in a heatproof bowl. Pour the hot cream over the chocolate and let it sit for 1–2 minutes. Stir until smooth and glossy.
- Spread the Ganache:
- Once the brownies are fully cooled, pour the ganache over the top, spreading it evenly with a spatula.
Set and Serve:
- Chill:
- Refrigerate the brownies for at least 30 minutes to allow the ganache to set.
- Slice and Enjoy:
- Cut into squares and serve. Garnish with additional strawberries, if desired.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a teaspoon of vanilla extract or a pinch of espresso powder to the brownie batter.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
- Swap fresh strawberries for raspberries or other berries for a different twist.
