Description

Fresh, tangy pineapple meets rich dark chocolate in this simple yet decadent recipe. Perfect as a refreshing snack, party dessert, or homemade treat everyone will love!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 fresh pineapple, peeled, cored, and sliced into rings or chunks
  • 8 oz dark chocolate (semi-sweet or milk chocolate also works)
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil (optional, for a smoother coating)
  • 1/4 cup shredded coconut, chopped nuts, or sprinkles (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Pineapple:
    • Slice pineapple into ½-inch thick rings or cut into bite-sized chunks.
    • Pat dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture (this helps the chocolate stick).
  2. Melt the Chocolate:
    • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt dark chocolate in 30-second intervals, stirring between each until smooth.
    • (Alternatively, use a double boiler to melt the chocolate over low heat).
    • Stir in coconut oil if using, for a shinier finish.
  3. Dip the Pineapple:
    • Using a fork or skewer, dip each pineapple slice halfway into the melted chocolate.
    • Let excess chocolate drip off, then place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Add Toppings (Optional):
    • While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle with shredded coconut, chopped nuts, or sprinkles for extra texture.
  5. Chill & Set:
    • Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes, or until the chocolate hardens.
  6. Serve & Enjoy!
    • Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.

Notes

  • Use high-quality dark chocolate for the best flavor.
  • Let the pineapple dry completely before dipping to prevent the chocolate from sliding off.
  • Try drizzling with white chocolate for an elegant look.
