Description

This Smoky Chipotle Mayo is a creamy, flavorful sauce made with real chipotle chilies, adobo sauce, and a touch of honey. Perfect for dipping fries, spreading on tacos, or adding smoky heat to burgers and sandwiches!

Ingredients

Units Scale

Base:

  • 1 cup mayonnaise

Flavor Additions:

  • 3 chipotle chilies (from a can, finely chopped)
  • 1 tbsp adobo sauce (from the chipotle can)
  • 1/4 cup sour cream

Seasonings:

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp honey

Instructions

  • Blend the ingredients:
    • In a mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, sour cream, chopped chipotle chilies, adobo sauce, garlic powder, paprika, and honey. Stir until smooth and well blended.
  • Taste and adjust:
    • Taste the mayo and adjust the seasoning. Add more chipotle for extra heat or a bit more honey to balance the spice.
  • Chill:
    • Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
  • Serve:
    • Use as a dip for fries, a spread for tacos and burgers, or a sauce for roasted vegetables. Enjoy!

Notes

  • For a lighter version, substitute half the mayonnaise with Greek yogurt.
  • This mayo can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week.
  • If you prefer a smoother consistency, blend the sauce in a food processor.
