Scale
- 1 bunch fresh asparagus, trimmed
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1 tsp honey (optional, for added sweetness)
- 1 tbsp Parmesan cheese (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the Asparagus: Trim the tough ends of the asparagus spears.
- Sauté the Asparagus: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add asparagus and cook for 4–5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender but still crisp. Season with salt, black pepper, and garlic.
- Make the Balsamic Glaze: In a small saucepan, bring balsamic vinegar to a simmer over low heat. Stir in honey, if using, and let it reduce for 3–4 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Drizzle & Serve: Transfer the asparagus to a serving plate and drizzle with the balsamic glaze. Garnish with Parmesan cheese if desired. Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
- For extra crunch, top with toasted almonds or pine nuts.
- Swap honey for maple syrup for a different flavor twist.
- If you prefer roasted asparagus, bake at 400°F (200°C) for 12–15 minutes instead of sautéing.
