  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Dairy:
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven:
    • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
    • Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream the Butter & Sugars:
    • In a large mixing bowl, beat butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
    • Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla extract.
  3. Combine Dry Ingredients:
    • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Mix the Dough:
    • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
    • Fold in chocolate chips and Rice Krispies cereal, being careful not to overmix.
  5. Scoop & Bake:
    • Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
    • Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until edges are golden brown but centers are still soft.
  6. Cool & Enjoy:
    • Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
