Description

This refreshing Red Tomato Salad features juicy tomatoes tossed in a creamy dressing with fresh dill, making it a perfect side dish for summer meals or a healthy snack. With tangy lemon juice and a creamy finish, it’s a light, flavorful dish that’s both vibrant and satisfying.

Ingredients

  • 4 medium ripe red tomatoes, chopped

  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise

  • 1 tablespoon sour cream

  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped

  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cut the tomatoes into bite-sized chunks and place them in a large mixing bowl.

  2. In a separate bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, sour cream, lemon juice, and chopped dill until smooth and well-combined.

  3. Pour the dressing over the tomatoes and gently toss to coat evenly.

  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste and give it another gentle toss.

  5. Serve chilled as a side dish or on top of a fresh bed of greens.

Notes

  • For a vegan option, substitute the mayonnaise and sour cream with plant-based alternatives.

  • If you prefer a lighter dressing, you can substitute sour cream with Greek yogurt.

  • Great served with grilled meats or as a topping for sandwiches.
