Description

These Pure Beef Burgers are the ultimate classic—made with simple seasonings to let the rich, meaty flavor shine. No fillers, just pure, juicy goodness. Perfect for grilling or stovetop cooking!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef (80/20 for best juiciness)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese (optional)
  • 4 brioche or sesame seed hamburger buns

  • Lettuce, tomato, red onion, and avocado for toppings

Instructions

  • Prepare the Beef: In a large mixing bowl, gently combine ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Do not overmix to keep the patties tender.
  • Form the Patties: Divide the beef into 4 equal portions and shape into patties, pressing a small indentation in the center to prevent puffing.
  • Cook the Patties:
    • Grill Method: Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Cook patties for 4-5 minutes per side, flipping once. Add cheese in the last minute if using.
    • Stovetop Method: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, adding cheese towards the end.
  • Toast the Buns: While the patties cook, lightly toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a pan.

  • Assemble the Burgers: Place lettuce on the bottom bun, followed by the cooked patty, tomato slices, red onion, and avocado. Top with the bun and serve immediately.

Notes

  • 80/20 ground beef ensures juicy, flavorful patties.
  • Avoid overmixing the meat to keep the burgers tender.
  • Pressing an indentation in the center helps the patties cook evenly.
  • Brioche buns add a slightly sweet contrast to the savory burger.

  • Add crispy bacon for an extra indulgent twist!
