- 1 lb pork loin, thinly sliced
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 cup white wine
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 4 Portuguese rolls (papo secos)
Instructions
- Marinate the pork: In a bowl, mix garlic, paprika, salt, pepper, oregano, and white wine. Add pork slices and marinate for at least 1 hour.
- Cook the pork: Heat olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Fry the pork slices until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
- Sauté vegetables: In the same pan, melt butter and sauté onions and bell peppers until soft and slightly caramelized.
- Assemble the sandwich: Toast the Portuguese rolls, then fill them with the pork and sautéed vegetables.
- Serve: Enjoy hot with mustard, piri-piri sauce, or a drizzle of olive oil.

- For an authentic taste, use papo secos (Portuguese crusty rolls).
