Ingredients

Instructions

Make the cake layers:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line 3–4 round cake pans.
In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt.
In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla.
Alternate adding flour mix and milk, beginning and ending with flour.
Divide batter between pans and bake 22–28 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely. -
Make the frosting:
Beat butter until creamy. Gradually add powdered sugar, then mix in vanilla and a pinch of salt.
Fold in finely chopped strawberries. Add cream as needed for a spreadable consistency. -
Assemble the cake:
Place one layer on a stand, spread strawberry frosting, and repeat for remaining layers.
Apply a rustic layer of frosting around the outside—no need for perfection (naked cake style).
Top with fresh strawberries and florals.
