Indulge in these Pineapple Chicken Wings! Baked to perfection and coated in a sweet and savory pineapple glaze, they’re perfect for parties, appetizers, or weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Chicken Wings:

  • 2 pounds chicken wings, separated into drumettes and flats
  • 1/2 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

For Garnish:

  • 1/4 cup pineapple slices, chopped

Pineapple Glaze

  • 1/2 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce

Instructions

. Marinate the Chicken Wings

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together pineapple juice, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil.
  2. Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss to coat.
  3. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for maximum flavor.

2. Preheat the Oven

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and spray with vegetable oil to prevent sticking.

3. Bake the Chicken Wings

  1. Remove the wings from the marinade, letting the excess liquid drip off.
  2. Arrange the wings in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  3. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.

4. Prepare the Pineapple Glaze

  1. While the wings bake, combine pineapple juice, honey, and soy sauce in a saucepan.
  2. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce the heat and simmer for 5-7 minutes, or until the mixture thickens into a glaze.

5. Glaze and Finish the Wings

  1. After the wings have baked for 30 minutes, brush them with the pineapple glaze.
  2. Return the wings to the oven and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, or until the glaze is caramelized and sticky.

6. Serve and Garnish

  1. Transfer the wings to a serving plate and garnish with chopped pineapple slices.
  2. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add a teaspoon of chili flakes or Sriracha to the glaze.
  • These wings pair perfectly with a side of steamed rice or a fresh salad.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated in the oven for crispy results.
