Pineapple Glaze
- 1/2 cup pineapple juice
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
Instructions
. Marinate the Chicken Wings
- In a large bowl, whisk together pineapple juice, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil.
- Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss to coat.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for maximum flavor.
2. Preheat the Oven
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and spray with vegetable oil to prevent sticking.
3. Bake the Chicken Wings
- Remove the wings from the marinade, letting the excess liquid drip off.
- Arrange the wings in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
4. Prepare the Pineapple Glaze
- While the wings bake, combine pineapple juice, honey, and soy sauce in a saucepan.
- Bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce the heat and simmer for 5-7 minutes, or until the mixture thickens into a glaze.
5. Glaze and Finish the Wings
- After the wings have baked for 30 minutes, brush them with the pineapple glaze.
- Return the wings to the oven and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, or until the glaze is caramelized and sticky.
6. Serve and Garnish
- Transfer the wings to a serving plate and garnish with chopped pineapple slices.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add a teaspoon of chili flakes or Sriracha to the glaze.
- These wings pair perfectly with a side of steamed rice or a fresh salad.
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated in the oven for crispy results.
