- 2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1 tsp freshly ground black pepper

- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika (optional)
- 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce (optional, for extra umami)
Instructions
- Prepare the Steaks: Pat the steaks dry with a paper towel. Brush both sides with olive oil or melted butter.
- Season: Generously sprinkle salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika over both sides. Let the steaks rest at room temperature for 30 minutes.
- Preheat the Grill: Heat the grill to high heat (450-500°F). If using a pan, heat a cast-iron skillet over high heat.
- Grill the Steaks: Place the steaks on the hot grill and cook for:
- Medium-rare: 3-4 minutes per side
- Medium: 4-5 minutes per side
- Medium-well: 5-6 minutes per side
- Rest the Steaks: Remove from the grill and let them rest for 5-10 minutes to retain juices.
- Serve: Slice against the grain and enjoy with a side of roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a fresh salad.
