Ingredients
- 1 prepared pound cake or angel food cake, cut into cubes
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
- 2 cups fresh blueberries
- 2 cups whipped cream or whipped topping
- 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Red, white, and blue sprinkles (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
1️⃣ Prepare the Cream Layer – In a large bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Gently fold in whipped cream until fully combined.
2️⃣ Assemble the Trifle – In a large trifle dish or glass bowl, layer half of the cake cubes, followed by a layer of sliced strawberries, a layer of blueberries, and a layer of the cream mixture. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used.
3️⃣ Decorate – Arrange additional strawberries and blueberries on top in a star pattern. Sprinkle with red, white, and blue sprinkles if desired.
4️⃣ Chill & Serve – Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving to allow flavors to meld. Serve chilled and enjoy!
