Ingredients
Scale
For the Breakfast Rolls:
- 4 eggs
- 2 tablespoons red bell pepper, finely diced
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 (8-ounce) cans crescent dough sheets (or pizza/bread dough alternative)
- 1/3 cup whipped chive and onion cream cheese
- 8 ounces ground breakfast sausage, cooked
- 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
1. Prep the Ingredients:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan with cooking spray.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, diced bell pepper, milk, and black pepper.
- Cook the scrambled eggs over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until set. Set aside to cool.
- Cook the sausage until browned, then drain excess grease. Crumble the bacon.
2. Assemble the Rolls:
- Open the crescent dough sheets and lay them out on a floured surface. Pinch the edges together to form one large rectangle.
- Spread cream cheese evenly over the dough.
- Layer with scrambled eggs, sausage, crumbled bacon, and shredded cheddar cheese.
- Roll up the dough tightly into a log shape, sealing the edges.
3. Slice & Bake:
- Use a serrated knife to cut the roll into 12 even slices.
- Place the slices in the prepared baking pan.
- Bake for 24–26 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and fully cooked.
4. Serve & Enjoy:
- Let cool slightly and serve warm!
Notes
- No crescent dough? Substitute with pizza dough or thawed bread dough rolled into a rectangle.
- Save time by using pre-cooked sausage crumbles and bacon bits.
- Make it cheesy! Try mixing in pepper jack or mozzarella for extra flavor.
- Storage: Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or microwave before serving.
