- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1-inch ginger, grated
- 1 small onion, sliced
- 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 cup shredded carrots
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp cornstarch (mixed with 2 tbsp water)
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/2 cup beef broth or water
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 tsp sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the Noodles: Boil the noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Brown the Beef: Heat vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess grease if needed.
- Sauté Aromatics & Veggies: Add garlic, ginger, and onions to the beef. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Toss in bell pepper and shredded carrots, cooking until slightly tender.
- Prepare the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, hoisin sauce, brown sugar, red pepper flakes (if using), and beef broth. Stir in cornstarch slurry to thicken.
- Combine Everything: Pour the sauce into the pan with the beef and veggies. Stir well, then add the cooked noodles, tossing everything together until fully coated.
