Description

These Mini Dosa Party Bites are a fun and elegant twist on traditional South Indian dosas, perfect for Indian weddings, festive gatherings, or creative appetizer platters. Each mini dosa is stuffed with a flavorful filling of spiced mashed potatoes and bell peppers, then rolled into bite-sized treats. Served with a dipping sauce, these crispy, golden, and beautifully plated delights are sure to impress!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 cup dosa batter
  • 1/2 cup mashed potatoes
  • 1/4 cup diced bell peppers
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1/4 tsp chili powder
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Filling: In a bowl, mix mashed potatoes, diced bell peppers, turmeric, and chili powder. Set aside.
  2. Cook the Mini Dosas: Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat. Pour small circles of dosa batter onto the pan (about 3 inches in diameter).
  3. Add the Filling: Once the dosas turn golden brown and crispy, place a small spoonful of the potato mixture in the center.
  4. Roll & Secure: Carefully roll each dosa into a small tube and secure it with a toothpick.
  5. Serve & Garnish: Arrange on a serving platter, garnish with fresh cilantro, and serve with a dipping sauce like coconut chutney or spicy tomato chutney.

Notes

  • For extra crunch, add toasted mustard seeds and curry leaves to the potato filling.
  • Use beetroot or spinach dosa batter for a colorful presentation.
  • Serve warm for the best texture and flavor.
