Whether you’re using it as a dip for fresh fruit, a topping for pancakes and waffles, or a decadent spread for bagels and scones, this creamy treat is a must-have for maple lovers. Plus, it stores in the fridge for up to 3 months, making it perfect for meal prep and special occasions!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup (Grade A Dark recommended)
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/2 tsp maple extract (optional, for extra flavor)
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

  • Heat the Ingredients:
    • In a small saucepan, combine the heavy cream, maple syrup, brown sugar, butter, and salt over medium heat.
    • Stir constantly until the mixture starts to bubble and slightly thicken (about 5-7 minutes).
  • Cool & Thicken:
    • Remove from heat and stir in the maple extract (if using).
    • Let the dip cool to room temperature, then transfer to a jar or airtight container.
  • Chill & Store:
    • Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving to allow it to thicken.
    • Store in the fridge for up to 3 months.

Notes

  • Want it thicker? Let it simmer for an extra 2-3 minutes, or stir in a spoonful of cream cheese before chilling.
  • Make it dairy-free! Use coconut cream instead of heavy cream and vegan butter.
  • For extra texture, stir in chopped toasted pecans or crushed graham crackers before serving.
