Description

Brighten up your meals with this easy Lemon Pepper Broccoli! Crisp-tender broccoli florets are tossed in garlic butter, zesty lemon pepper seasoning, and topped with Parmesan for a quick, healthy, and flavorful side dish ready in just 15 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Produce:
    • 2 crowns of broccoli, cut into bite-sized florets
    • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Condiments:
    • 2 tbsp garlic butter (or regular butter with minced garlic)
  • Baking & Spices:
    • Lemon pepper seasoning, to taste
    • Garlic salt, to taste
  • Dairy:
    • Grated Parmesan cheese, for topping

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Broccoli:
    • Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add a pinch of salt to the water.
    • Add the broccoli florets and blanch for 2-3 minutes until bright green and crisp-tender. Drain and rinse under cold water to stop the cooking process.
  2. Season the Broccoli:
    • Heat the garlic butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the blanched broccoli and sauté for 2-3 minutes, stirring to coat the florets evenly in the butter.
  3. Add Flavor:
    • Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the broccoli. Season with lemon pepper and garlic salt to taste. Stir well to combine.
  4. Garnish and Serve:
    • Transfer the broccoli to a serving dish and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese. Serve immediately as a side dish to your favorite main course.

Notes

  • For an extra kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes while sautéing.
  • This recipe works equally well with roasted broccoli—simply toss raw florets with garlic butter, lemon pepper, and garlic salt, then roast at 400°F for 15-20 minutes.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.
