- 1 cup cooked chicken, shredded or diced
- 4 slices bread (your choice of type)
- 4 slices mozzarella cheese
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
- 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup marinara sauce
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
Instructions
- Prepare the Bread: Spread a thin layer of butter on one side of each bread slice. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top of the buttered sides.
- Assemble the Sandwiches: Place one slice of bread buttered-side down on a cutting board. Add 1 slice of mozzarella, half the cooked chicken, 2 tbsp marinara sauce, and a sprinkle of Italian seasoning. Top with another mozzarella slice and a second piece of bread, buttered-side up. Repeat for the second sandwich.
- Cook the Sandwiches: Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat. Place the sandwiches in the skillet and cook for 3–4 minutes on each side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
