Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or dessert, this easy 30-minute recipe is irresistibly delicious!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package King’s Hawaiian Sweet Rolls (12 count)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 2 tbsp cinnamon sugar (1 1/2 tbsp sugar + 1/2 tbsp cinnamon)
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

1. Preheat & Prep:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Lightly grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.

2. Prepare the Rolls:

  • Carefully slice each Hawaiian sweet roll in half, but do not cut all the way through, creating a pocket.

3. Make the Cheesecake Filling:

  • In a bowl, mix cream cheese, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and egg yolk until smooth.

4. Fill the Rolls:

  • Spoon or pipe the cheesecake mixture into the pocket of each roll.
  • Place filled rolls on the baking sheet, ensuring they are not touching.

5. Add Butter & Cinnamon Sugar:

  • Brush the tops of the rolls with melted butter.
  • Sprinkle evenly with cinnamon sugar.

6. Bake & Serve:

  • Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and the filling is set.
  • Let cool slightly before transferring to a serving platter.
  • Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

  • Extra Flavor: Add a drizzle of caramel or honey before serving.
  • Fruit Filling: Add a spoonful of strawberry jam or blueberry preserves inside the cheesecake filling.
  • Nutty Twist: Sprinkle chopped pecans or almonds on top before baking.
  • Storage: Keep leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
