Description

Jalapeño Popper Pigs in a Blanket are spicy, cheesy, and irresistibly flaky appetizers made with cocktail sausages, creamy cheese filling, and jalapeños wrapped in crescent dough. A bold twist on the classic, perfect for game day or party snack boards.

Ingredients

  • 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened

  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • 2 fresh jalapeños, thinly sliced (seeds removed for less heat)

  • 1 package cocktail sausages (about 14-16 pieces)

  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

  • Optional: chopped chives or parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  • In a small bowl, mix cream cheese and shredded cheddar until smooth.

  • Roll out crescent dough and cut each triangle in half to make smaller pieces.

  • Spread a small amount of cheese mixture onto each piece of dough. Add a jalapeño slice and one cocktail sausage, then roll up tightly.

  • Place rolled pigs in a blanket seam-side down on the baking sheet. Brush tops with egg wash.

  • Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden and puffed.

  • Garnish with chopped herbs if using, and serve warm with ranch or chipotle dipping sauce.

Notes

  • Adjust heat by keeping or removing jalapeño seeds.

  • Great made ahead—just assemble, chill, and bake when ready.

  • For extra crunch, sprinkle with panko or crushed tortilla chips before baking.
