Description

These Hot Honey Brussels Sprouts are crispy, caramelized, and bursting with flavor. Roasted until golden, then drizzled with sweet and spicy hot honey and topped with creamy feta and fresh herbs—this easy side dish is the perfect sweet-heat veggie upgrade for holidays, dinners, or anytime you want bold flavor.


Ingredients

For the sprouts:

  • 1 lb Brussels sprouts, halved

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 2 oz crumbled feta cheese

  • 1 tablespoon chopped chives or parsley

For the hot honey:

 

  • 1/4 cup honey

  • 1-2 teaspoons hot sauce (adjust to taste)

  • Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional, for extra heat)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Toss halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

  3. Place them cut side down on the baking sheet and roast for 20–25 minutes until crispy and caramelized.

  4. While they roast, make the hot honey: in a small saucepan, heat honey, hot sauce, and red pepper flakes over low heat. Stir until combined.

  5. Remove Brussels sprouts from oven and immediately drizzle with hot honey.

  6. Sprinkle with crumbled feta and chopped chives or parsley.

  7. Serve warm as a side or appetizer.

Notes

  • Try goat cheese or blue cheese instead of feta for a twist.

  • Great served with roasted chicken, pork, or on a holiday table.

  • Make it vegan by omitting the feta and using maple syrup with chili flakes instead of honey.
