Description

Recreate the bold Cajun flavor of your favorite fast-food dipping sauce with this Homemade Mustard (Popeye’s Copycat)! This creamy, zesty blend of mustards, spices, and a hint of sweetness makes the perfect partner for fried chicken, fries, seafood, and more. Ready in minutes and bursting with Southern flair!


Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard

  • 2 tablespoons whole grain mustard

  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise

  • 1 tablespoon honey

  • 1 tablespoon Creole or Cajun seasoning

  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)

  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar or lemon juice

 

  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together Dijon mustard, whole grain mustard, and mayonnaise until smooth.

  2. Add honey, Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper (if using), and vinegar or lemon juice. Stir until well blended.

  3. Taste and adjust with salt and pepper as desired.

  4. Chill in the refrigerator for 20–30 minutes to let the flavors meld.
