- 1 lb ground beef
- 2–3 potatoes, cut into evenly sized pieces
- 1 large can (28 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 large can (28 oz) stewed tomatoes
- 1 regular-sized can green beans
- 1 regular-sized can peas and carrots
- 1/2 onion, chopped
- Seasonings of your choice (don’t be afraid to season generously!)
Instructions
- Brown the Beef: In a large pot over medium heat, cook the ground beef and chopped onions until the beef is browned and the onions are translucent. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Add Vegetables and Liquids: Add the potatoes, tomato sauce, stewed tomatoes, green beans, peas, and carrots to the pot. Stir to combine.
- Season: Add your choice of seasonings to the pot. Common choices include salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
- Cook: Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to a simmer. Cover and cook for 40 to 50 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender.
- Serve: Taste and adjust seasonings as needed. Serve hot, accompanied by crusty bread or crackers if desired.
