Description

Garlic Herb Butter Grilled Oysters are a smoky, savory delight featuring fresh oysters grilled to perfection with a rich garlic and parsley butter. This grilled oyster recipe is a crowd-pleasing seafood appetizer ideal for summer cookouts and gourmet gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 12 fresh oysters, shucked

  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, softened

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

  • 1 tsp lemon juice

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Garlic Herb Butter:
In a small bowl, combine softened butter with minced garlic, chopped parsley, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Mix well until fully blended.

  2. Grill Oysters:
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
Arrange the shucked oysters on the grill, keeping them level in their shells.
Place a dollop of the garlic herb butter onto each oyster.
Grill for 5–7 minutes, or until the butter is bubbling and the oysters are just cooked through.

  3. Serve:
Transfer the grilled oysters to a serving platter.
Serve hot with lemon wedges on the side for squeezing.

Notes

Use a grill-safe oyster tray or rock salt base if needed to stabilize oysters. Experiment with additional herbs like thyme or tarragon for variation.
