Description

These Cheesy Roasted Cauliflower Steaks are a delicious, low-carb, and flavorful alternative to traditional steaks. Perfectly seasoned and roasted to golden perfection, they’re topped with Parmesan and mozzarella cheese, creating a crispy, cheesy crust. A vegetarian-friendly dish that’s easy to make and packed with flavor!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 large head of cauliflower
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tsp sweet paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Cauliflower:

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (356°F).
  2. Remove the leaves from the cauliflower and cut it into 1-inch thick slices to create “steaks.”

2. Season & Bake:

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the cauliflower steaks on it.
  2. Drizzle olive oil over the steaks and season with salt, black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
  3. Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese evenly over each steak.
  4. Bake for 20 minutes until tender and slightly golden.

3. Add Mozzarella & Finish Baking:

  1. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
  2. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is golden and bubbly.

4. Garnish & Serve:

  1. Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve warm. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Extra Crispiness? Broil for 2-3 minutes after adding mozzarella for a crispy cheese crust.
  • Spicy Kick: Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for heat.
  • Dairy-Free Option: Substitute cheese with nutritional yeast for a vegan alternative.
  • Serving Ideas: Pair with a side of garlic aioli, marinara sauce, or a fresh salad.
