Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp matcha powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk (or dairy-free alternative)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat & Prepare:

    • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
    • Line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  • Mix Dry Ingredients:

    • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, matcha powder, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and sugar.
  • Mix Wet Ingredients:

    • In a separate bowl, whisk melted butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  • Combine & Mix:

    • Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
  • Bake the Muffins:

    • Divide the batter evenly among the muffin cups, filling each about 3/4 full.
    • Bake for 18-22 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Cool & Finish:

    • Let the muffins cool completely before dusting with powdered sugar for a delicate touch.
