Ingredients

Units Scale

For the Chocolate Shell

  • 200g dark chocolate (or milk/white chocolate)
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil (optional, for extra shine)

Filling Options

Chocolate Ganache Filling

  • 100g dark or milk chocolate (chopped)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream (or coconut cream for vegan)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Nut Butter Filling

  • 1/2 cup almond butter or peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup or honey
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil

Coconut Cream Filling

  • 1/2 cup shredded coconut
  • 1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk (or coconut condensed milk for vegan)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

For Decoration

  • Melted white or dark chocolate (for drizzling)
  • Crisped pearls, sprinkles, or edible glitter

Instructions

. Make the Chocolate Shells

  1. Melt the chocolate: Use a double boiler or microwave in 30-second bursts, stirring until smooth. Stir in coconut oil for extra shine.
  2. Fill the molds: Pour melted chocolate into egg-shaped silicone molds, tilting to coat the sides evenly.
  3. Set the shells: Chill in the fridge for 10 minutes, then apply a second layer of chocolate for a sturdier shell. Chill again until firm.

2. Prepare the Filling

  • Ganache: Heat cream until warm (not boiling), then pour over chopped chocolate. Stir until smooth and let cool slightly.
  • Nut Butter: Mix nut butter, maple syrup, and coconut oil until creamy.
  • Coconut Cream: Blend shredded coconut with condensed milk and vanilla until combined.

3. Assemble the Eggs

  1. Fill each chocolate shell with your chosen filling, leaving a little space at the top.
  2. Seal with more melted chocolate and smooth the edges. Chill for 20 minutes until set.

4. Decorate & Serve

  • Carefully remove the chocolate eggs from the molds.
  • Drizzle with melted chocolate and sprinkle with crisped pearls or edible glitter.
  • Serve chilled or at room temperature.

Notes

  • Make It Vegan: Use dairy-free chocolate and coconut-based fillings.
  • Gift Idea: Wrap in foil or place in decorative egg boxes for an Easter surprise!
  • Storage: Keep in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
