Instructions
1. Heat-Treat the Flour:
- Spread the flour evenly on a baking sheet and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 5-7 minutes, or microwave it in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until it reaches 165°F (74°C). Let it cool completely before using.
2. Cream the Butter and Sugar:
- In a medium bowl, use a hand mixer or whisk to cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
3. Add the Wet Ingredients:
- Mix in the vanilla extract and milk until smooth.
4. Combine the Dough:
- Gradually add the heat-treated flour and salt to the butter mixture, stirring until fully incorporated and the dough reaches a soft, smooth consistency.
5. Add Sprinkles (Optional):
- Fold in rainbow sprinkles for a festive touch.
6. Serve:
- Scoop into a bowl or roll into small balls. Enjoy immediately, or chill for 5-10 minutes for a firmer texture.

- Heat-Treated Flour: Heat-treating the flour ensures it’s safe to eat raw by eliminating potential bacteria. Don’t skip this step!
- Storage: Store the cookie dough in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week. Freeze for up to 3 months.
