Description

This Pistachio Tiramisu is a creamy, nutty twist on the classic Italian dessert. Rich mascarpone, velvety pistachio paste, and layers of coffee-soaked savoiardi biscuits come together in a luxurious treat that’s easy to make but needs time to set. Perfect for dinner parties or special occasions, this dessert is an indulgent blend of flavors and textures!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 200g savoiardi (ladyfinger) biscuits
  • 100ml strong coffee (espresso preferred)
  • 100g pistachio paste
  • 75g icing sugar
  • 300ml double cream
  • 250g mascarpone cheese
  • Chopped pistachios, for garnish

Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare the Pistachio Cream

  1. In a bowl, whisk together the mascarpone, pistachio paste, and icing sugar until smooth.
  2. In a separate bowl, whip the double cream until soft peaks form.
  3. Gently fold the whipped cream into the pistachio mascarpone mixture until well combined.

2️⃣ Assemble the Tiramisu

  1. Quickly dip each savoiardi biscuit into the strong coffee, ensuring they absorb the flavor but don’t become soggy.
  2. Arrange a layer of the coffee-soaked biscuits in a serving dish.
  3. Spread half of the pistachio cream evenly over the biscuits.
  4. Repeat with another layer of coffee-soaked biscuits and top with the remaining pistachio cream.

3️⃣ Chill & Serve

  1. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours (overnight is best for full flavor).
  2. Before serving, sprinkle with chopped pistachios for extra crunch.
  3. Slice and enjoy!

Notes

  • Use unsweetened pistachio paste for a deep, natural pistachio flavor.
  • For extra indulgence, add a splash of amaretto or Frangelico to the coffee.
  • Best made a day in advance for optimal texture and taste.
