Description

This Cinnamon Swirl Bread is soft, buttery, and packed with a sweet cinnamon-brown sugar filling that melts in your mouth. Perfect for breakfast, snacks, or even as a base for French toast, this homemade loaf is easy to make and smells absolutely irresistible while baking!

Ingredients

Step 1: Activate the Yeast

Warm the milk to 110°F (just warm, not hot).

Stir in the yeast and sugar, then let it sit for 5-10 minutes until bubbly and foamy.

Step 2: Mix the Dry Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and salt.

Step 3: Form the Dough

Once the yeast mixture is frothy, add the melted butter and eggs, stirring to combine.

Gradually mix in the flour mixture, stirring until a sticky dough forms.

Step 4: Knead & First Rise

Knead the dough on a floured surface for 10 minutes, until smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise until doubled (about 1 hour).

Step 5: Prepare the Cinnamon Swirl

In a small bowl, mix the cinnamon powder with brown sugar.

Step 6: Roll & Fill the Dough

Punch down the risen dough and roll it into a rectangle on a floured surface.

Evenly sprinkle the cinnamon-brown sugar mixture over the dough.

Roll up the dough tightly from one end to the other, creating a loaf shape.

Step 7: Second Rise

Place the dough into a greased baking pan, seam-side down.

Cover and let it rise again until doubled in size (30-45 minutes).

Step 8: Bake & Cool

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

Bake for 30-35 minutes, until golden brown and firm.

Let cool for 10 minutes in the pan, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
