Ingredients

Units Scale

For the Biscotti Dough:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup toffee bits
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

For the Cinnamon Sugar Topping:

  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Set aside.
  3. Cream Butter & Sugar: In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, followed by vanilla extract.
  4. Combine Ingredients: Gradually mix in dry ingredients until a dough forms. Fold in toffee bits and chocolate chips.
  5. Shape the Dough: Divide dough in half and shape each portion into a 10-inch long log on the baking sheet, about 3 inches wide. Flatten slightly.
  6. First Bake: Bake for 25–30 minutes, until golden and firm. Let cool for 10 minutes.
  7. Slice & Second Bake: Using a serrated knife, cut logs into ¾-inch slices. Lay slices cut-side down on the baking sheet.
  8. Add Cinnamon Sugar & Bake Again: Sprinkle cinnamon sugar over the biscotti. Bake for another 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway, until crisp.
  9. Cool & Serve: Let cool completely before enjoying or storing in an airtight container.
