Description
These Chocolate-Coated Strawberries are the perfect sweet treat for Valentine’s Day, special occasions, or an easy, elegant dessert. With just four ingredients, you can create beautifully dipped strawberries with a smooth, glossy chocolate finish and customizable toppings like sprinkles or crushed nuts!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb fresh strawberries, washed and dried completely
- 8 oz dark or milk chocolate, chopped (or chocolate chips)
- 2 tbsp coconut oil (for smooth melting)
- Sprinkles or crushed nuts (optional, for decoration)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Strawberries:
- Rinse strawberries and pat them dry completely with a paper towel.
- Let them air dry for a few minutes—any moisture can prevent the chocolate from sticking properly.
2. Melt the Chocolate:
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate and coconut oil.
- Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until fully melted and smooth. (Alternatively, use a double boiler for gentle melting.)
3. Dip the Strawberries:
- Hold each strawberry by the stem and dip it into the melted chocolate, coating it evenly.
- Let any excess chocolate drip off before placing the strawberry on a parchment-lined tray.
4. Add Toppings (Optional):
- While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle crushed nuts, sprinkles, or coconut flakes over the strawberries for extra flavor and texture.
5. Set & Serve:
- Let the strawberries set at room temperature for about 10 minutes.
- For faster setting, place them in the refrigerator for 15 minutes.
- Serve fresh and enjoy!
Notes
- Use high-quality chocolate for the best taste and texture.
- Avoid water contact—even a drop of water can cause the chocolate to seize.
