Description

These Chocolate-Coated Strawberries are the perfect sweet treat for Valentine’s Day, special occasions, or an easy, elegant dessert. With just four ingredients, you can create beautifully dipped strawberries with a smooth, glossy chocolate finish and customizable toppings like sprinkles or crushed nuts!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb fresh strawberries, washed and dried completely
  • 8 oz dark or milk chocolate, chopped (or chocolate chips)
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil (for smooth melting)
  • Sprinkles or crushed nuts (optional, for decoration)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Strawberries:

  1. Rinse strawberries and pat them dry completely with a paper towel.
  2. Let them air dry for a few minutes—any moisture can prevent the chocolate from sticking properly.

2. Melt the Chocolate:

  1. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate and coconut oil.
  2. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until fully melted and smooth. (Alternatively, use a double boiler for gentle melting.)

3. Dip the Strawberries:

  1. Hold each strawberry by the stem and dip it into the melted chocolate, coating it evenly.
  2. Let any excess chocolate drip off before placing the strawberry on a parchment-lined tray.

4. Add Toppings (Optional):

  • While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle crushed nuts, sprinkles, or coconut flakes over the strawberries for extra flavor and texture.

5. Set & Serve:

  1. Let the strawberries set at room temperature for about 10 minutes.
  2. For faster setting, place them in the refrigerator for 15 minutes.
  3. Serve fresh and enjoy!

Notes

  • Use high-quality chocolate for the best taste and texture.
  • Avoid water contact—even a drop of water can cause the chocolate to seize.
  • Make ahead: Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
