Ingredients
-
1 lb ground beef
-
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
-
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
-
Salt and black pepper, to taste
-
1/4 cup ketchup
-
1 tablespoon mustard
-
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
-
1 cup shredded mozzarella or Monterey Jack cheese
-
1/2 cup diced tomatoes or pickles (optional)
-
4 large flour tortillas
-
1 tablespoon butter or oil, for greasing the skillet
Instructions
-
In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until browned and cooked through. Drain any excess fat.
-
Stir in ketchup and mustard. Mix thoroughly and remove from heat.
-
Lay out tortillas. On one half of each, sprinkle a layer of cheese, spoon on the beef mixture, add tomatoes or pickles (if using), and top with more cheese. Fold tortillas in half.
-
Heat butter or oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook each quesadilla for 2–3 minutes per side, until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
-
Slice into wedges and serve hot with dipping sauces like ketchup, burger sauce, or ranch.
Notes
-
You can swap in ground turkey or chicken for a leaner version.
-
Add a bit of sautéed onion or bacon bits for extra burger flavor.
-
Great for using leftover taco meat or burger patties!
