Description

This Banana Bread with Bourbon and Walnuts takes classic banana bread to the next level! Infused with a rich hint of bourbon and crunchy walnuts, this moist and flavorful loaf is perfect for breakfast, dessert, or a cozy snack.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon (optional)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup bourbon
  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • 3/4 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven: Preheat to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  • Mix Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  • Prepare Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, mix melted butter, brown sugar, eggs, vanilla, and bourbon. Stir in mashed bananas and sour cream.
  • Combine: Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Fold in walnuts.
  • Bake: Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan. Bake for 50–60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Cool & Serve: Let cool for 10 minutes in the pan, then transfer to a wire rack. Slice and enjoy!
