- 1 lb breakfast sausage
- 2 cups whole milk
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 4 large eggs
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a skillet, cook sausage over medium heat until browned. Drain excess grease.
- Sprinkle flour over sausage and stir for 1 minute. Slowly add milk, stirring constantly until thickened. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Layer half of the biscuit quarters in the baking dish.
- Pour the sausage gravy over the biscuits.
- Whisk eggs and heavy cream together, then pour over the gravy.
- Sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese, then top with remaining biscuit pieces.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes, until golden brown and set.
