Ingredients

  • 1 can (16 oz) refrigerated biscuits, cut into quarters
  • 1 lb breakfast sausage
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 large eggs

 

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • In a skillet, cook sausage over medium heat until browned. Drain excess grease.
  • Sprinkle flour over sausage and stir for 1 minute. Slowly add milk, stirring constantly until thickened. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  • Layer half of the biscuit quarters in the baking dish.
  • Pour the sausage gravy over the biscuits.
  • Whisk eggs and heavy cream together, then pour over the gravy.
  • Sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese, then top with remaining biscuit pieces.
  • Bake for 30–35 minutes, until golden brown and set.
