Description

All the flavors of a classic Big Mac packed into a grilled hot dog—juicy, cheesy, and topped with creamy special sauce! This fast-food-inspired creation is perfect for BBQs, game days, and summer cookouts.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Hot Dogs:

  • 4 sesame seed hot dog buns
  • 4 beef hot dogs
  • 4 slices American cheese, cut diagonally
  • 1/2 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/4 cup diced white onion
  • 1/4 cup sliced pickles

For the Special Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon sweet pickle relish
  • 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

Instructions

1️⃣ Make the Special Sauce – In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, ketchup, pickle relish, mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika. Set aside.
2️⃣ Grill the Hot Dogs – Preheat the grill to medium heat. Grill hot dogs for about 5 minutes, turning occasionally until slightly charred.
3️⃣ Toast the Buns – Lightly toast sesame seed buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes until golden.
4️⃣ Assemble the Hot Dogs – Place a slice of American cheese inside each bun, followed by a grilled hot dog. Top with shredded lettuce, diced onions, and sliced pickles.
5️⃣ Drizzle with Special Sauce – Generously drizzle Big Mac-style sauce over each hot dog.
6️⃣ Serve & Enjoy – Serve immediately with fries, chips, or coleslaw for the ultimate fast-food-inspired meal!

Notes

  • Swap American cheese for cheddar or Swiss for a unique twist.
  • Add sesame seeds to plain buns if sesame seed buns aren’t available.
  • For an extra crunch, add crushed potato chips or crispy fried onions.
  • Pairs well with sweet potato fries or onion rings!
