For the Chicken:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 cups cornflakes cereal, crushed
- Cooking spray or vegetable oil
For the Hot Honey Glaze:
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tbsp hot sauce
- 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp butter
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Lightly grease with cooking spray.
- Prepare Coating Stations: In one shallow bowl, combine flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. In another bowl, beat the eggs. In a third bowl, add crushed cornflakes.
- Coat the Chicken:
- Dredge each chicken breast in the flour mixture, shaking off excess.
- Dip into the beaten eggs, ensuring full coverage.
- Coat with crushed cornflakes, pressing gently to adhere.
- Bake: Place coated chicken on the prepared baking sheet. Lightly spray the tops with cooking spray. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until crispy and golden brown, and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- Make the Hot Honey Glaze: While the chicken bakes, heat honey, hot sauce, apple cider vinegar, and butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Stir until smooth and combined.
- Glaze & Serve: Drizzle the hot honey sauce over the crispy baked chicken before serving. Enjoy!
