Description

This Apple Crumble Cheesecake is a luscious fusion of creamy vanilla cheesecake, warm spiced apples, and a buttery brown sugar crumble topping, all baked in a golden graham cracker crust. Perfect for cozy autumn gatherings, holidays, or when you’re craving a comforting slice of heaven.

Ingredients

For the Crust:

  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs

  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

For the Cheesecake Filling:

  • 24 oz cream cheese, softened

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 3 large eggs

  • 1/2 cup sour cream

  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

For the Apple Layer:

  • 2 large apples, peeled and diced

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar

  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

For the Crumble Topping:

  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar

  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan and line the bottom with parchment paper.

  2. Combine graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter. Press firmly into the pan’s bottom and sides. Bake for 10 minutes and let cool.

  3. Toss diced apples with lemon juice, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Set aside.

  4. Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, then stir in sour cream and vanilla. Pour into cooled crust.

  5. Layer the apple mixture over the cheesecake filling.

  6. Mix flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Stir in melted butter until crumbly, then sprinkle over the apples.

  7. Bake for 55–65 minutes or until the center is almost set. Turn off oven, crack door, and cool cheesecake inside for 1 hour.

  8. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.

Notes

  • Use tart apples like Granny Smith for a balanced sweetness.

  • A chilled overnight rest allows the flavors to meld beautifully.

  • Pairs wonderfully with a drizzle of caramel sauce or a dollop of whipped cream.
