Description

  • 12 mozzarella string cheese sticks, halved (24 pieces)

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1 cup Italian-style breadcrumbs

  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

  • Cooking spray

 

  • Marinara sauce, for dipping


Ingredients

  1. Cut each mozzarella stick in half and place on a baking sheet. Freeze for at least 1 hour until firm.

  2. Set up a breading station with three shallow bowls: flour in one, beaten eggs in the second, and a mix of breadcrumbs, Parmesan, parsley, garlic powder, and onion powder in the third.

  3. Coat each frozen cheese stick in flour, then egg, then the breadcrumb mixture. For extra crunch, dip again in egg and breadcrumbs.

  4. Return coated sticks to the freezer for 15-20 minutes to set.

  5. Preheat air fryer to 390°F (200°C). Lightly spray mozzarella sticks with cooking spray.

  6. Place in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they don’t touch. Cook for 6-8 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crisp.

  7. Serve hot with warm marinara sauce on the side.
